We wish to let you know that we are in the gradual process of reopening to larger numbers of children. Ann Bernadt has been open throughout the term to children of Keyworkers . Nell Gwynn has remained closed throughout this period and will be reopening on the 15th June, 2020. Both Nell Gwynn and Ann Bernadt will be welcoming in more children from this date in line with priority places.
You will be aware that we have undertaken consultation of all parents/carers across Ann Bernadt and Nell Gwynn Nursery Schools to ensure a full understanding of parent/carer views on each individual child returning to our settings. Recently you would have been contacted to ask whether or not your child would be taking up a place at either Ann Bernadt or Nell Gwynn. Parents/carers who wished to accept a place for their child will be contacted shortly with a start date. If you haven’t been offered a place for your child, we ask that you continue to keep your child at home with you.
Please take the time to read though the following document published on the Ann Bernadt and Nell Gwynn Nursery School websites:
This Risk Assessment will help you to understand what we are doing as a federation to keep everyone as safe as we can under the circumstances. You will note that our nurseries are not risk free environments in regards to COVID-19 however we are working hard to reduce risks as much as possible.
It is important to note that we will be reviewing the situation weekly as there is a necessity to do this. We ask that you bear with us during this time due to the difficult circumstances we are working under. The safety and wellbeing of children, families, staff, governors as wells as other stakeholders are at the forefront of our mind during this period of reopening, therefore we welcome your support and cooperation as we move forwards.
Sending well wishes to all of you and please continue to check our websites and Parent Hub for up to date information, as well as helpful early learning resources.
